Lia’s Journey
Due to privacy and respect for Lia and her family, we cannot tell you her full story. But we will share what we can. One tragic night, Lia was brought to Casa de Esperanza after her mother attempted to surrender her at a local fire station. It’s hard to imagine the despair Lia’s mother must have felt, unable to care for her baby no matter how hard she tried to change her situation. Fortunately, they found their way to Casa de Esperanza.
